As the whole year group or class is working remotely, the work set by teachers will support independent learning by including more teacher explanation and guidance. The work will be provided in one of 3 different ways:
1. A narrated powerpoint presentation which will be uploaded on Google Classroom. These are presentations in which teachers have recorded themselves explaining the content, giving instructions and activities for students to complete.
2. A “live” lesson using ‘Zoom’ which will take place at the same time as on the normal school timetable.
3. Recorded lessons which will be uploaded in video format and students will be able to watch before completing assigned work. Teachers may ask the students to pause the video and attempt questions or activities.
Your child should be working between 8.45am and 3.20pm, with breaks, completing work for that day’s subjects in line with the school timetable.
When narrated powerpoints are uploaded on Google Classroom your child should work according to the timetable below as students might be asked to submit work during these hours or complete online quizzes. Live lessons will be scheduled in line with the school timetable.
8.45 – 9.15am Students should check their year group class for messages and updates and download the work the teachers have set
9.15 – 10.50am Complete Period 1 work
11.25 – 1.00pm Complete Period 2 work
1.45 – 3.20pm Complete Period 3 work
